
Jennifer has always dreamed of becoming an all-purpose celebrity. As a child Jennifer was fond of a variety of kinds of music, mostly Afro-Caribbean styles like merengue salsa, and the bachata. She also loved mainstream music , like hip-hop , and R&B. She loved music but was also fascinated by movie industry. The most influential film she was influenced by was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Alongside being a talented performer Jennifer was also a Catholic schoolgirl. She attended for eight years at a Catholic primary school known as Holy Family situated within The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after four years. Jennifer did well in sports throughout her school years and played the track and field as well as tennis. She spent most of her upbringing in a two-story house located in the Castle Hill neighborhood. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of her parent's house. Lopez started working in an office in the field of law while dancing late at night.
